Hip-Hop embassador Russel Simmons journeyed to South America on a fact-finding mission to see conditions for hisself. He hopes his visit will help determine how the diamond industry can impact African Americans in a positive way. Russel said his wife, Kimora Lee Simmons, inspired him to make the trip. Their jewelery buisness, Simmons Jewelry Co., includes diamond pieces and is currently sold in stores like Zales and Gordon's Jewelers.
Big Boi will play himself on three upcoming episodes of the CW show, "Girlfriends". He discovers Persia White character, Lynn, and hires her to write music and collaborates on an album. He will also perform one of his songs. The first of the three episodes airs tonight on the CW at 9:00 P.M (ET)
